How much is the pay, and what are the benefits?
For a full-time position instructors will receive 252, 000 yen a month. Teachers receive paid holidays at various times throughout the year, as well as 5 flex holidays. CSD also provides assistance to teachers in a number of areas besides visa sponsorship.

 
Payment
The starting salary for full-time teachers is 252,000 yen per month. Teachers will be reimbursed for their transportaion expenses. The total tax is between 6-10%. Pay reviews and increases are done on an annual basis.

Holidays
Holiday breaks of about 10-12 days each in August and December, the Golden Week holiday (end of April), 5 flexible leave days (as stipulated in the work code) as well as Japanese national holidays are paid.

 

Assistance
CSD also provides assistance to teachers in a number of other areas such as help with apartment leasing contracts, interest-free loans to help cover initial living expenses, and assistance in acquiring health and travel insurance. Native instructors also receive discounts on tuition for Japanese language courses conducted at ECC.
