Welcome to the ECC Junior homepage.

ECC Junior programs involve teaching English to Japanese children between the ages of 2 and 15. ECC Junior classrooms are unlike conventional classroom settings; they are a chain of franchise schools located in the homes of our Home Teachers throughout Japan. In addition to Home Teacher classrooms,we have ongoing ECC Junior-sponsored English events such as Kids Festivals and Kids Interviews. If you enjoy teaching children and would like a change from the routine classroom setting of teaching English, please take a look at our website for more information about become a member of our team.

ECC Junior has over 10,000 Japanese Home Teachers teaching a variety of subjects, including English, to over 200,000 students nationwide. Most ECC Junior students are between 2 and 15 years old. Students study English on a regular basis from a neighborhood Home Teacher but do not have much opportunity to interact with native English speakers in their daily lives.

ECC Junior Centers provide opportunities for these students to have an enjoyable experience speaking English with a Native English Speaker. At various ECC Junior events, Native English Teachers lead groups of students in games and songs, as well as listen to speeches and introduce their culture to students. These events are therefore extremely important to all of our Home Teachers and students.

ECC Junior Centers throughout Japan support our Home Teachers in a variety of ways; one of which being to offer an extensive network of highly skilled and enthusiastic Native English Teachers.
